You are out at a Bond filming location. Here is the job, one step at a time.

► Try it now: practice visit About two minutes. Nothing is saved, and you don't need an account.

The steps
  1. Pick a target
Browse locations by film or by country, or build a Target List (☆) of places you want to visit. Every location page shows its position on the map, its photos and what other operatives found.
  2. Get there
Use the Open Map link on the location page to get directions. Some locations have safe vantage points marked in blue. Use those, and never take a risk for a photo.
  3. File your field report
Tell us what you found: is it still there, and what is it like today? A few sentences is plenty.
  4. Verify with GPS
While you are standing at the location, activate the tracker beacon (the GPS button). Your phone's position is checked against the location, which proves you were really there. It works only where the exact position is already known, and only when you are close.
  5. Submit a field photo
Photograph the spot. If you can, line it up with the frame from the film for a then-and-now shot.
  6. Collect commendations
Visits, verified visits, photos and new countries all count towards commendations, and finishing every location in a film ticks it off on your profile.
