Hotel Palacio Estoril James Bond Filming Location

INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING

A grand hotel on Rua do Parque in Estoril, beside the casino gardens, dating from 1930.

In On Her Majesty's Secret Service it is Bond's hotel: in the first scene after the opening titles he pulls up in his Aston Martin DBS and walks in. The bellboy who hands the manager Bond's room key was a real member of the hotel staff, later its concierge. Ian Fleming is said to have stayed here during the Second World War.
